Elementary (PreK-5)

All have K-5 programs including the basic subjects, as well as programs for the academically talented and those with handicapping conditions. A pre-kindergarten program is offered in several schools. The Ready to Read Act is followed in grades K-3.

Middle (6-8)

All are organized to aid pupils in their transition from childhood to adolescence. Basic skills programs are continued with advanced programs, including French, Spanish and algebra.

High (9-12)

All offer an array of programs for pupils including vocational-technical courses, advanced placement, foreign language and special needs. In addition, a Navy Junior Reserve Officer Training Corp and a foreign exchange program provide different dimensions to the curriculum.

Elementary (PreK-5)

All elementary schools have full-time principals, assistant principals, media specialists, guidance counselors and specialty teachers of art, music, physical education, the gifted and handicapped. The average class size is approximately 20 for grades K-2 and 25 for grades 3-5.

Middle (6-8)

All middle schools have, in addition to the traditional staff, teachers of the academically able, special education and foreign language. The average class size is approximately 25.

High (9-12)

Each senior high school has four full-time counselors, computer science teachers and Navy Junior ROTC instructors, in addition to a full complement of academic and specialty teachers. The average class size is approximately 25.

The Adult Education Program offers literacy services to all adults, age 17 and above, not currently enrolled in school. Classes provided include:  Adult Basic Education (ABE), GED^® preparation and English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESL). The National External Diploma Program is an alternative method for adults 18 and older to earn a high school diploma. Practice GED^® testing and counseling are available for students preparing to take the GED^®. We look forward to seeing you on campus!
