Energy Conservation
Energy Conservation is when behavior modifications have resulted in the use of less energy. Turning off lights when leaving a room or using less water are both ways of conserving energy. Energy Efficiency is when technology requires less energy to perform the same function.
CCPS has taken an approach where we embrace energy conservation and energy efficiency as a means to reduce our carbon footprint and to save money. Our efforts follow a set of guidelines, which can be viewed in our Resource Management and Energy Conservation Plan. Energy Conservation measures include projects such as LED Lighting Upgrades, HVAC upgrades, and green school actions.
