Programs
CHESPAX has developed programs and lesson plans that are supportive of the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) and the Maryland Environmental Literacy Standards (E-Lit). Most programs involve a field experience, often with a participating program site. All of the programs include hands on activities and resource materials to help the classroom teacher provide engaging lessons to support the targeted curriculum.

Program Sites
CHESPAX partner sites serve as living laboratories for student exploration of the natural and cultural resources of Calvert County. The close working relationship between the Calvert County Public Schools and local parks, museums, and other organizations allow thousands of students and teachers to engage experiences that could not occur in the classroom. The CHESPAX field programs are directly connected to grade level curricula and provide partners with the opportunity to fulfill their organizational mission for public outreach.
