The Office of Communications promotes district, school, staff, and student successes, builds parent and community support, and strengthens public confidence in Calvert County Public Schools by fostering positive relationships between the school district, parents, students, staff, and the community at large. The Chief of Communications is responsible for managing district communications and public relations that are in alignment with the district’s vision, mission, and goals. The Office of Communications contributes to increased student achievement by providing information that promotes stakeholder engagement. Information is provided through a variety of media and in multiple languages. Functions of the Communications Department include district-level communications, media relations, community engagement, and the promotion of special events.
