The goals for the Parent Advisory Council are outlined in No Child Left Behind. Each school/district should have a Parent Advisory Council which:
Meetings will consist of information to promote parent knowledge of learning and strategies used to strengthen learning in Title I schools, to increase everyone's knowledge of the law and of local practice, and will be devoted to efforts to improve program effectiveness. Meetings may also address parental or guardian concerns that are raised about areas connected to schooling and learning such as school social services. Title I teachers and central office staff attend the quarterly meeting.
