DEAR VENDOR: This guide has been prepared to assist you in understanding the basic process of purchasing with Calvert County Public Schools. We hope it provides useful information about our system and serves as a welcome to vendors who currently provide commodities/services to us as well as those seeking to do business with Calvert County Public Schools. WHO PURCHASES FOR CALVERT COUNTY PUBLIC SCHOOLS?The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for procuring commodities/services required by Calvert County Public Schools. The office is located in the Brooks Administration Building, 1305 Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, Maryland 20678. The Chief Budget and Business Officer, Director of School Facilities and Supervisor of School Construction administer the procurement of professional services and major construction for capital projects. BIDDER LISTA list of vendors is maintained on the automated bidder list. Vendors desiring placement on the bidder list must submit their request on their letterhead, specifying those commodities/services they provide to the Purchasing Office. Vendors who desire to be on the bidder list for construction must complete an application obtained from the Maintenance Department and returned to the School Construction Department, 1305 Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, Maryland 20678. PROCEDUREProcedure 5510.1 Regarding Procedures for Bidding BID INFORMATION & AWARD DETAILSBidders are invited to attend any bid opening at the designated time and date. Bidders are notified of awards and may request a bid tabulation from the Purchasing Supervisor. Vendors who did not bid may request a bid tabulation from the Purchasing Supervisor. BID DEPOSITA bid deposit may be required on formal bids. The bid deposit shall be a certified check drawn on a solvent bank or a bid bond which will be specified in the bid.
