PRE-BID: Monday, December 22, 2014 at 1:00PM at Northern High School. Visitors must check in at the Front Office.

BID DATE & TIME: Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 2:00PM at the Brooks Administration Building, 1305 Dares Beach Road, Prince Frederick, MD. 20678 to the attention of Mr. Kevin Michael, Director of Procurement & Resource Management.

Base Bids shall be opened at 2:00PM with Alternates following at 2:30PM.

MBE PARTICIPATION: is requested per CCPS Policy # 7008. The Overall MBE Goal is 17% for the project with an 8% African American sub-goal and a 1% Women sub-goal.

Regarding Individuals Registered on a Public Offender Registry

Maryland Law requires certain sex offenders to register with the State and with the local law enforcement agency in which they reside, work and/or attend school. Section 11-722(c) & (d) of the Criminal Procedure Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland states, ”A person who enters into a contract with a county board of education or a nonpublic school may not knowingly employ an individual to work at a school if the individual is a registrant.” A person who violates this section is guilty of a misdemeanor and on conviction is subject to imprisonment not exceeding 5 years or a fine not exceeding $5,000 or both. If a registered sex offender, as determined by the definition contained in the Criminal Procedures Article of the Annotated Code of Maryland, is employed by an interest doing business with CCPS, said interest is prohibited from assigning that employee to perform management, delivery, installation, repair, construction, or any type of services on any CCPS property, including the project property. Violation of this provision may result in Termination for Cause.

HUNTINGTOWN HIGH SCHOOL SEWAGE PUMPING STATION CONVERSION & FORCEMAIN PROJECT

PROJECT ADDRESS: 4125 N. Solomons Island Road, Huntingtown, ,MD. 20639

SCOPE OF PROJECT: Furnish all labor, materials, & equipment to perform Sewage Pump Station Conversion and Forcemain work .

LIQUIDATED DAMAGES: There are no Liquidated Damages associated with this project.

PRE-QUALIFICATION: Contractor pre-qualification required for interested offerors not having an active pre-qualification application on file with Calvert County Public Schools. Please go to Construction Forms under the Resources section of the Construction Website for details.

PLEASE NOTE: Calvert County Public Schools Contractor Prequalification Applications must be submitted to George R. Leah, Jr. or Shuchita Warner NO LATER THAN 4:00PM on Friday, January 16, 2015 to be considered for this project.
