Species Observed by Seventh Grade SAV Monitors

Seventh grade students taking part in the CHESPAX environmental education program have been collecting data on Cocktown creek since the early 90's.  These data are used by the U.S.F.W.S. to help determine the overall health of SAV populations across the Chesapeake Bay region.  As of October 2000, eight different species have been recorded on the creek.  Click on the links below to learn more about each species.
